I had my work cut out for me when I agreed to redecorate my brother's apartment. He decided that he wanted a cowboy theme, complete with western glassware. I agreed to decorate for him and told him that I could only work on this project in my spare time. He apparently decided on this cowboy theme for his apartment when he bought western glassware. He thought the glassware was really neat and wanted to decorate his apartment accordingly. The glasses were really unique. I don't think I've ever seen anything like them. My brother has a lot of guy friends that come over to watch sports on television and to play poker. He convinced me to play bartender for his crowd on Friday nights while I was there to redecorate. I thought it would be fun to serve drinks to his friends in the new western glassware. The first Friday night that I came to work on his place, I painted. I chose a nice terra cotta color with accents of sage green. There were only five guys, including my brother, there that night. I used the western glassware and served them the dry version of a Manhattan. The Manhattan looked good in the western glassware. I had heard that this drink was a favorite of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. This is a classic drink. I found some Johnnie Walker Blue Label in my brother's liquor cabinet.
