I love to entertain and my daughter is finally at an age where she can enjoy it with me. Most of my friends have kids her age and she liked to get together with them as much as I like to get together with their moms. Last year we came up with the hand painted martini glass plan on New Year's Day.

The hand painted martini glass plan is a plan that we came up with so that we could both entertain friends. The plan was to invite the kids over in the afternoon of a holiday party for a craft party. My daughter and I would serve kid friendly food and the kids would work on a craft while I got the house ready.

We were both very excited as Valentine's Day approached. I helped my daughter make heart shaped mini pepperoni pizzas for the kids. After the kids arrived, they set to work with acrylic paint making a heart covered hand painted martini glass for each guest. The kids had a great time with this craft.

The hand painted martini glasses were a huge hit at the adult party that night. I made a really nice cherry brie appetizer and served Hey Sweetie! Martinis. The martinis called for freezing Iceberg vodka, room temperature Chambord and honey.

I warmed the honey and stirred it into the Chambord. I shook the vodka with ice, added the Chambord and stirred....
